CRAIG REALTY GROUP ANNOUNCES OUTLETS AT TRAVERSE MOUNTAIN OPENING HOLIDAY 2012
LEHI, UT – The Outlets at Traverse Mountain are slated to bring the Salt Lake City region an outlet shopping experience like none other in the state. Construction is well underway on the Outlets at Traverse Mountain with a targeted completion and grand opening set for November, 2012 just in time for the holiday shopping season. Strategically located on Interstate 15 at the Alpine/Highland interchange (SR-92), which generates approximately 55 million cars annually, the center is at the nucleus of growth for the greater Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The site itself is adjacent to an 180,000 square foot Cabela’s store that opened in September, 2005.
The project is Craig Realty Group’s latest outlet shopping center development, with Phase I consisting of 225,000 square feet and approximately 52 stores. Confirmed tenants include Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store; Nike Factory Store; Under Armour; Coach Factory; Calvin Klein; Banana Republic; Gap Outlet; J.Crew; Tommy Hilfiger; Levi’s; Van Heusen; Bass; Izod; Carter’s Childrenswear; OshKosh B’Gosh; Gymboree Outlet; Skechers; Vans; and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
Typical of Craig Realty Group (CRG) centers, Outlets at Traverse Mountain will include many unique features that focus on creating an upscale and exceptional customer shopping experience. Despite the open-air architecture, fitted glass canopies will protect shoppers from the inclement weather typical of Utah winters. Additionally, radiant heated walkways will ensure pedestrian safety. A two-story, lodge-like Customer Service Center and Management Office will provide shoppers with a comfortable indoor visitor center for assisting with all their shopping needs. Upscale public and family restrooms will mirror the details that have become signature of all CRG centers.
The center, located on a 50-acre parcel south of Salt Lake City is a joint venture between Craig Realty Group and Lehi-based, Legacy Retail, LLC. Nationally-ranked Layton Construction of Salt Lake City is the general contractor on the project.
Construction is on schedule with the first tenant turnovers planned for September.
